"CE Marking" means affixing a label on a product or package with a specific logo consisting of the letters CE, which stand for the French phrase "Communauté Européenne" (European Community).

CE Marking is mandated by law in the European Community (EC) and is a legal requirement for products exported to the European Economic Area (EEA). The European Community has established strict guidelines for CE Marking and non-compliance is the same as breaking a law. Products imported to any of the following countries must meet the requirements of the applicable EC Directives and bear the "CE Marking" as a sign of conformity:
